1. Patients with sores or tumors should not use cervical massagers. Because at this time, further stimulation of the body surface can cause capillary dilation, increase local blood flow, leading to the spread of the lesion and worsening of the condition.
2. After fasting, overeating, drinking alcohol, and vigorous exercise, it is advisable to avoid using cervical massagers, especially strong stimulation massages, as this can further accelerate blood flow, enhance smooth muscle peristalsis in the stomach, and cause discomfort such as nausea, vomiting, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
3. Cervical massagers should not be used in the early stages of recovery from fractures and joint dislocations. When a fracture or joint is damaged, using a cervical massager makes it difficult to recover the bone movement under muscle tension, which is actually detrimental to the recovery of the condition.
4. Patients with skin diseases, infectious diseases, lymphadenitis, and blood diseases should use cervical massagers with caution; Patients with hypertension and anemia should be careful not to massage the carotid artery to avoid accidents.
5. Pregnant women and children should not use cervical massagers. Massaging pregnant women at acupoints such as San Yin Jiao can affect the normal development of the fetus; Newborns should not be massaged before the closure of the chimney; Children and adolescents are in a stage of vigorous growth and development, and generally do not need or should not use cervical massagers for massage.
